The current strategy of Active Compliance System is to engage patients and communities; and build their capacities to manage treatment this reducing the burden of DOTS providers from role of constant observation to limited supervision. This approach impacts the society at a large, as it not only builds the capacities of patients but also empower communities to manage treatment of patients within their closer networks. This approach leads in creating a new network of treated patients as new knowledge providers, who are ready to serve as peer-educators in communities to provide assistive support to patients in their communities. The approach will make the treatment a Community-led model with Active Community-led Supervision.
