Pilot Test

To improve treatment adherence using ACTS based on Open and Universal Technology based TB (OUT-TB) Management and Treatment Framework, the intervention was piloted at two (2) sites of district Mewat- namely Tauru (Semi-urban) and Mohammmadpur Ahir (Rural) with 20 patients in 2014. The huge interest and quick adaptation to ACTS platform resulted in significant improvement in adherence rate to 92%. The patient toolkit instantly connected with the patients with its special features like access to patient TB reports, dosage tracker, alerts and alarms, provision of community observer and mobile TB knowledge centre, besides compliance reporting.

मैं पटेल नगर तवरु का रहने वाला हूँ। मैं मोबाइल के माध्यम से स्वयंसंचालित प्रणाली के द्वारा दवाई ले रहा हूँ। मुझे इससे बहुत फायदा हुआ है के अगर मेरी कभी डोज मिस हो जाती है तो मेरे पास मेसेज आ जाता है। मेसेज को देखने के बाद मुझे यह होता है के मुझे दवाई लेनी है, तो मैं उसी टाईम दवाई ले लेता हूँ। इसके अलावा दिन में 4 बार हर दो घंटे बाद इसके अंदर रिंग भी बजती है। अगर मैंने समय पर दवाई नही ली है तो आब्जर्वर के पास इसका का मेसेज पहुँच जाता है। आब्जर्वर हमारे पास खुद आता है और दवाई देकर जाता है।मुकेश कुमार”

मैं गाँव धिधरा की रहने वाली हूँ। मैं पिछले एक महीने से स्वयंसंचालित प्रणाली में टी.बी. के मरीजों की देखभाल करने का काम करती हूँ। मरीजों के घर पर जाती हूँ और उनको दवाई खिलाती हूँ। यह प्रणाली बहुत आसान है, इससे मरीजों को पूरी दवा भी मिल जाती है और उनका इलाज सम्पूर्ण हो जाता है। इस प्रणाली में टी.बी. के मरीजों की मौत होने की संभावना भी नही रहती।सुनीता कम्युनिटी आब्जर्वर”

After pilot project was conducted in district Mewat (Haryana), it was evident that TB eradication needs multi-level holistic approach for long term disease management and this led to building of larger solution. Active ground building is all about constructing conducive environment for community level support mechanism triggering active adherence and treatment management by the community, resulting in reduction of stigma and open discussion about tuberculosis.
